Suzanne Pastor

Born 1952 in Chicago, USA.
Study of Psychology at Northwestern, Harvard and Cornell Universities (1970-1975); Art and Photography study at Art Institute of Chicago (1975-1978) and Kassel University, Germany (1981-1984). Work at George Eastman House, Rochester (1978-1981) and Rudolf Kicken Gallery, Cologne (1981- 1985). In 1990 became co-founder and curator of Prague House of Photography. In 1996 founded Odephil Editions, Prague. Important exhibitions include Arles, Bonn (1981), Frankfurt, NYC (1984), Stuttgart (1985), Amsterdam (1988), Cheb, Brno, Klatovy, Enschede (1988), Israel, Prague, Sobotka, Frankfurt (1999), Prague (2001), New York City, Olomouc, Bruntal, Chicago Art, Art Frankfurt (2002), Jihlava (2004), Prague (2006, 2007). Her work is in the collections of the Museum Ludwig, Cologne; Berlinische Galerie; BrooklyMuseum of Art; Charles University, Prague; Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; Myslbek Palace, Prague; Moravian Gallery, Brno; Musée Réattu, Arles; Eli Lemberger Museum of Photography, Israel; Museum of Contemporary Photograpy, Chicago; National Gallery of South Africa, Capetown; National Museum of Photography, Jindrichuv Hradec, Joan Flasch Special Collection, School of the Art Institute of Chicago; Bratislava FotoFest; Polaroid Corporation Europe and numerous private collections. She won first prize at Bratislava Fotofestival
for Best Artist Book 2000 in Central and Eastern Europe. Lives and works as independent artist in Prague (1990-present).
