Peter Bialobrzeski, born in 1961 in Wolfsburg, studied Politics and Sociology before he became a photographer for a local newspaper in his native city.

Pour sa septième édition, le jury du Prix BMW – Paris Photo 2010 a sélectionné 20 artistes finalistes. Le thème de ce Prix, réservé aux artistes présentés par les galeries participantes à Paris Photo, est : « Vision électrique ».
Inspiré par la BMW Concept ActiveE, ce thème rend hommage à l’électricité qui façonne le devenir technologique de nos sociétés et transforme notre vision du monde.
Les 20 finalistes sélectionnés parmi 51 candidatures retenues seront exposés à Paris Photo du 18 au 21 novembre 2010. L’artiste lauréat recevra le Prix doté de 12 000 euros en ouverture du Salon le 17 novembre prochain.

While Baudelaire’s essay looks at the complex interrelationship between desire and escapism for poetic literature, the relationship between hallucinatory visions and reality has not lost its fascination since the Romantic period. A solo exhibition of photography works by German artist Peter Bialobrzeski. The "Neon Paradise" exhibition showcases for the first time in Shanghai works from Bialobrzeski's award-winning "Neon Tigers" series, as well as works from his most recent "Paradise Now" series. Bialobrzeski's photographs depict the urban landscape and concrete jungles in metropolises across Southeast Asia. Spanning nearly a decade, these two bodies of work are the perfect juxtapositions and bookends to Bialobrzeski's work in Asia. "Neon Tigers" illustrates the infrastructure boom and high rises of Asia's megacities, while "Paradise Now" shows the intermingling of nature and the man-made neon luminescence in a subtle and startling balance of lush greenery and neon phosphorescence.

In 2005 and 2007, Helmhaus Zürich presented the first and second parts of its World - Images exhibition series. The project now continues with the third part, accompanied, as always, by a publication. One of the main aims of this project is to find out more about the different ways in which artists transpose their views of the world into the medium of photography, especially in an age of media overkill. La mostra Tigri di luce, visto il grande successo riscosso, è stata prorogata fino al 4 settembre 2008. Sono spettacolari immagini realizzate in anni recenti da Peter Bialobrzeski nelle metropoli asiatiche, da Shangai a Hong Kong, da Bangkok a Singapore, da Shenzhen a Kuala Lumpur.
Le 24 fotografie sono proposte in ingrandimenti 180 x 120 cm in strutture espositive dotate di pannelli solari che restituiscono l’illuminazione durante il buio, consentendo la fruizione delle immagini nella piazza anche di notte.
