Micha Bar-Am, né à Berlin, a déménagé avec sa famille à Israel puis en Palestin en 1936. Tout d'abord conny pour la couverture du conflit arable-juif depuis la guerre du Sinai en 1956, il a été correspondant de Magnum depuis 1968 et a reçu le Prix Robert Capa.

Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at 19 pm at Officine Fotografiche, Rome is inaugurated the 10th edition of FotoLeggendo. Opens the photo-festival the exhibition Il diario di Felix by Emiliano Mancuso curated by Renata Ferri , taken from a documentary project filmed by Emiliano at Casa Felix, the family-home for troubled teen, in Torrespaccata in Rome.
It continues Friday, June 6 at ISA Institute, with the opening of 11 of the 15 shows scheduled for this 10th edition of Fotoleggendo, made with the support of the City of Rome - Department of Culture Creativity and Artistic Promotion - Department of Culture and with the support of the Regional Council of Lazio and Rome City Hall VIII, organized and produced by Officine Fotografiche Roma.

The exhibition aims to investigate the impetus of self-portraiture in a time when self-documentation is overabundant and so easily disseminated through a plethora of social networks and digital platforms. Throughout that period MAGNUM never ceased to supply photographs that have become part of the world’s collective memory – pictures of landmark events like the Russian army’s invasion of Prague in 1968 and the Tiananmen Square demonstrations in Beijing in 1989. The exhibition uses photographs, books and texts to illustrate the history of MAGNUM year by year and gives visitors the opportunity to view work by 83 photographers, such as Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Carl de Keyzer, Martin Parr, Susan Meiselas and Leonard Freed.
