Martina Bacigalupo

Martina Bacigalupo est née à Gênes en 1978.

She is based in Paris. After studying literature and philosophy in Italy, she did a post-graduate course in photography at the London College of Communication. In 2005, she won the Black & White Photographer of the Year prize in London, before moving to Paris to work for photographer Giorgia Fiorio, and participate in the Reflexions Masterclass.

In 2007, Martina gained special mention in the Italian Publishers' Prize Premio Grinn, and was selected for the Voies Off award at the Arles Festival. She is currently living in Burundi, East Africa, working as a photographer for the United Nations.
